What's Given

It is easy at times for others to determined that you are fine when there is hurt or offense given; only because they haven’t experienced the sacrifice of the relationship in a way that you have.

We sometimes don’t understand the love of God and that divine relationship. We continue in our own way and doing what we want because we didn’t feel the sacrifice of giving our only begotten son.

The Reminder

On this grief journey, I’ve realized for me personally that I am not capable of returning to a place I once relished in, because of the loss of my husband. It’s an ongoing emotional battle. However, the ability to remember that Zion is available to me to sit, and weep, and be strengthened, is great news! Father help me to always remember that.
Psalm 137

Dead Situations

Vulnerability can be freeing but it also can bring unbearable pain. Attempting to completely open up can be dangerous to someone that isn’t in a place to receive and do the same. Individuals who are thought to overwhelmingly care for someone, can often be in the relationship to gain more than give. Self-absorbed people unfortunately do not have the capacity or capability to discern authenticity; they only give attention to what serves them. Any attempt to be vulnerable enough to share will cause more harm than good to the one who is mature enough to share. Don’t waste anymore breath attempting to give life to a dead situation.

Find Me

Here is what I’ve realized. Taking time to connect with others, means so much more to me than a overworked, over stressed life, busy with things that don’t supersede my relationships with those I love and care about.

Find me at the table breaking bread and lingering over a meal with those I love; actually looking at them and talking to them. Those moments are more important to me than a funny tik tok and hours of scrolling on social media, which isn’t in many cases the truth of a person.
